What are tribiotics?

Tribiotics combine prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics in one formula, so your skin's microbiome and skin barrier are supported together. Prebiotics feed the beneficial microbes already living on your skin, probiotic ferments help your skin defend against irritation, and postbiotics soothe inflammation and strengthen the skin barrier.

What is IMNX+®?

IMNX+® (pronounced Immunex, short for Immune Nexus) is Throda's patent pending tribiotic complex. It combines prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics to support four connected systems of the skin: the microbiome, the skin barrier, immune defence and cellular protection. It is the technology inside The Face Barrier Serum.

Is it suitable for sensitive and eczema-prone skin?

Yes. In a 42-day Human Repeat Insult Patch Test (HRIPT) on 50 people with sensitive and eczema-prone skin, there were zero irritation reactions. If you have known allergies or very reactive skin, patch test before first use.

How should I apply it?

Apply two pumps to clean, dry skin morning and evening, then follow with your moisturiser, and SPF by day. For skin barrier revival, use twice daily for 28 days.

How long does one bottle last?

Around six weeks with two pumps morning and evening, or around three months if you use it once a day.

Can I use it with other active ingredients?

Not in the same application. Throda contains microbial strains designed to balance your microbiome, and other actives would strip them away. To keep actives in your routine, use Throda in the morning and actives in the evening, or alternate days.

How does the airless bottle work?

Prime the pump before first use by pressing it several times. The airless mechanism protects the formula and pushes product upwards as you use it, helping dispense every last drop.

Is the packaging recyclable?

Yes. The bottle is Italian glass and the pump is plastic. Separate the pump from the bottle, then recycle the glass and the plastic separately.
